Thoughts on the day after the EU Referendum

Written on 24th June 2016 as I arrived back in the UK from a holiday abroad. Four years later, I think it stands up pretty well: “Flew into Gatwick this morning – having heard the result on the plane – to what feels like a much smaller, meaner country than I left two weeks ago.
